How to upload files

We want as many of you as possible to upload teaching materials to the site, so that we build up a really useful resource for team teaching English in Gifu. To that end I thought that it might be a good idea to explain how to upload files!

  • Step one

First things first, to upload files you must be logged in. If you have already registered, then simply put in your username and your password into the login window on the right had side of the page and click "LOGIN". If you have not registered yet, then please take a minute to register by clicking on the "Create an account" link in the log in window.  However, please be aware that registration is limited to Gifu JETs only.

  • Step two

Ok, so you have logged in. Now lets start uploading files! There are two ways you can begin the process. One is by clicking on the "Upload a file" link in the menu which drops down from "Downloads" in the menu that runs along the top of the page. Like so:

Upload One

Or you can click on the "submit a file" at the bottom of any of the download section pages. Please note however, that the "submit a file" button will only appear once you have logged in (see step one).

  • Step three

So now you should be presented with this screen: Select the first option "Upload a file from your computer" and then click next.

  • Step Four

Click on browse, select the file which you wish to upload. Uploading can take a few minutes depending on the size of the file and on the speed of your connection. Bear in mind you may not be able to upload files from work because of restrictions on the school network.

  •  Step Five

If there were no problems uploading your file, you should be presented with this page. Give lesson material a name (include your name here if you want to), and select a catergory for it to be put in to.

Upload Five

At the bottom of the page, please give a brief description of your lesson materials.

Upload Six

When you have finished describing your lesson material, click one the floppy disk icon in the top right corner to save. To cancel, click on the cross.

That should be that! If you have any problems then please email the PAs.
